Clean, fresh off-the-shelf power steering fluid will be a red coloration. Over time it will turn orange due to age or rust. Fluids that are yellow, green, or pink aren’t steering fluids but coolant fluids. Brake fluid tends to be light yellow and grows brown as time passes. If you see clear fluid coming from your car, then that is more than likely gasoline or just water.

Knowing your car fluids is just as important as knowing how much you pay for car insurance. If you feel like it’s too much, then check out what we can offer you at Insurance Navy. Whether you’re looking for basic liability or a full coverage policy with add-ons, we always take the low-cost approach to set a new cheap standard for car insurance.
