Things to do in Bridgeview

Bridgeview is a unique town in the Chicagoland area in regard to its residents and population. About 10% of the population is Arab Americans which has origins back in the 80s. The Mosque Foundation was founded in 1980, and Harlem Avenue is home to many Middle Eastern eateries and shops. These residents have families that commonly immigrated from Palestine or Jordan. At the same time, Bridgeview is a town focused on education with several different schools and districts in the area. So as a town driven by its community, there aren’t any high-tier attractions. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t make some stops along the way as you pass through Bridgeview.

Haunted Trails

It’s Halloween all year round at this arcade and entertainment center. The best way to describe Haunted Trails is Chuck E Cheese but spooky-themed. But except for a singing robot show, there are more rides and games like laser tag, batting cages, mini-golf, and small carnival rides like a junior coaster. Their go-kart tracks are a particularly popular attraction. The outdoor area is open seasonally, while the indoors are open year-round.

Oak Lawn Park District

Every Park District center has a swimming facility, but only the best have water slides and other water park attractions at their pools. The Oak Lawn Park District is one of them and a great summertime destination for locals. Their blue winding and twisting slide is a community favorite. The small water playground is also perfect for younger children. At the same time, there are also plenty of field activities outside of the pool area.

Of course, Bridgeview’s own Park District is also worth visiting. Their pool facilities aren’t as impressive as Oak Lawn’s, but they still have some water playground elements. During the holiday seasons, they are known to host events here like a Haunted Halloween event. You don’t need to spend hours on end here, and everything can be enjoyed in under an hour.
