Filling for a certificate of financial responsibility is a quick and simple process. All you have to do is contact an Insurance Navy agent and ask for an SR22 certificate. This can be done at your nearest Insurance Navy office, over the phone, online or through our mobile app. The agent will submit a request for an SR-22 through the Secretary of State’s office the same day.


SR22s are granted on a yearly basis. A certificate of financial responsibility requires a down payment and may be financed into 9 monthly payments.

If you need to cancel an SR22, call the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to make sure your requirement is over. If it is, contact an Insurance Navy agent. The agent will file paperwork with the DMV to cancel the SR22 filing.
