Collision and upset (comprehensive) coverage

Collision and comprehensive coverage covers damage to your car caused by a collision with another vehicle in Mexico or any other object, regardless of who is at fault. Policyholders need to pay a deductible before the Mexico travel insurance covers the rest of the damages.

Fire and total theft

Fire and total theft covers damages or loss of your car in Mexico from total theft and fire. These policies do not cover personal items inside of the car at the time it is stolen.  Policyholders need to pay a deductible before the insurance covers the rest of the damages.

*In order to buy collision and comprehensive coverage in Mexico, you must carry collision or comprehensive coverage on your current American policy or you will not qualify for more this added protection.

Diamond Program Option

The Diamond Program increases policy limits and includes medical expenses, roadside assistance, and travel assistance.

Special Services Included


Medical coverage covers accidents or illnesses of the policyholder, which includes his or her spouse if they are named on the policy. This coverage will help obtain emergency medical care, pays for a land or air ambulance and pays up to $60 per day up to 10 days at a hotel for after hospitalization, among other services.

Roadside Assistance

Like a typical roadside assistance plan, this coverage pays for service for a flat tire, emergency fuel, jump-start or to unlock a vehicle. It will also pay for shipping needed spare parts and pay for towing up to $300 or two events per policy period, among other services.

Travel Assistance

Travel assistance includes tourist and travel information, emergency money transfers, lost baggage assistance, translating services and more.
