If your business owns a truck, a traditional commercial auto insurance policy may not be enough protection. Insurance Navy provides the following coverages for trucks used for commercial purposes.
Motor truck cargo
Motor Truck Cargo insurance provides coverage on the cargo hauled by a trucker. It covers a trucker’s liability for cargo that is lost or damaged under certain circumstances. The policyholder must select a limit and deductible for this coverage.
Motor truck general liability
Motor Truck General Liability coverage pays for injuries or property damage that result from business activities that are not directly related to operating the truck.
Motor Truck General Liability insurance provides the following coverages:
- Bodily injury
- Property damage liability
- Personal injury
- Advertising injury liability
- Medical payments
- Product and completed operations
- Damage to rented property
Non-trucking liability insurance (NTL) provides coverages for a truck when it is used for personal reasons. This endorsement only modifies the liability portion of your policy.
Rental reimbursement with downtime
Rental Reimbursement with Downtime coverage provides reimbursement for up to 30 days for rental costs to replace a truck damaged from an insured peril.
Policyholders select daily coverage limits for this coverage.
Insurance Navy will also provide assistance in locating a reasonable commercial truck replacement.
Trailer Interchange coverage is physical damage insurance for non-owned trailers. This insurance protects a driver if the trailer is damaged by a collision, a fire, theft, an explosion or vandalism.
With trailer interchange coverage, a policyholder must select coverage limits and a deductible.
