Coat Drive

Winter time means cold weather, and those without a coat or other warm clothing struggle during this time. That’s why we are partnering with One Warm Coat to collect coats and other warm clothing so no one goes cold this winter. Each of our office locations in the Chicago area will have a drop box for unwanted coats and other warm clothing starting November 15th to December 15th. Please donate what you can so we can spread warmth this winter.

Insurance Navy Brokers is partnering with the One Warm Coat foundation to host a coat drive. Each Insurance Navy office location will have a donation box available for the community to drop off their unwanted coats and other warm clothing. One Warm Coat has partnered with businesses all over the country to provide more than 500,000 coats to those in need during the winter season – but with the prospect of a bone chilling winter ahead, it is moving up the start of its annual campaign to make sure more people are safe and warm.

“We often don’t think about providing warmth and support to those in need until after the first snowstorm of winter hits or the first frigid Arctic blast. As a result, many of us take action after our most vulnerable neighbors are already in danger,” said Beth W. Amodio, One Warm Coat’s president and chief executive officer.

For those who live in poverty, the onset of cold weather, especially in Chicago – winter poses life-threatening danger. For individuals, the winter months are more expensive and present a bigger strain on their budgets.

Those that are homeless or cannot afford heating can develop hypothermia without protection from the cold. Insurance Navy wants to partner with One Warm Coat Day to make sure no one goes cold this winter and provide an opportunity to raise awareness.
