Godzilla: King of the Monsters is blasting into theaters this month. From the comfy seats of the local movie theaters, Godzilla is awesome. But, if he were to come stomping on your car like a big playground, his presence may become a bit less enthralling.
Luckily, we live in a world in which we don’t have to worry about Godzilla plowing into our car. But, what if we did? Insurance Navy is here to help you with any auto insurance inquiries that we can. Because you should be ready for anything and everything, Insurance Navy has created this guide to walk you through the steps you should take after Godzilla collides with your car.
What To Do
You’re driving down the street. The warm sun bathes your skin, the cool wind blows your hair around. Then, suddenly, you drive right into a giant Kaiju foot belonging to the one and only King of the Monsters, Godzilla.
First, calmly exit from whatever remains of your vehicle. Then, you’ll need to call the police.
Once the police arrive and stop shrieking in terror, they will begin to file a report. Remember as many details about the accident as possible because it will be integral to the police report.
After all of this, you will have to call your insurance company. They will ask you various questions about the accident including where and when it occurred, who was driving, and who caused the crash. When you are asked these questions, we do not recommend responding with:
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? DON’T YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND!? IT’S GODZILLA!! GODZILLAAAAA!!!!”
Your insurance provider will also ask about property damage and potential injuries. Even if no injuries are apparent at first, you may want to consider being examined by a physician. When attempting to answer these questions, if you find yourself not being able to stop yelling “Godzilla!” in a foreboding manner, don’t worry. The police report should have all of the information that the insurance company will need.
After the insurance company has been made aware of the accident, they will conduct their own investigation. They may have to wait for the FBI, Men in Black and S.H.I.E.L.D. to finish their investigations first, but they’ll get to it as soon as they can.
Remember, these steps are important to take after a collision, whether you’re in an accident with Godzilla, Rodan, or any random driver on the road.
