Coffee Shops in Harvey

Harvey is another community way south of Chicago and just before the border to Indiana into the town of Hammond. A notable claim to fame they have was the Dixie Square Mall which was featured in The Blues Brothers during the car chase scene. It has since been demolished, but Harvey remains a transportation hub and, as such, has a few places to get coffee on the go.

Rosie’s Gaming Cafe

Rosie’s is a great place for those with nocturnal habits to get their coffee fix because they are open until 2 am. Of course, you may be wondering where the “gaming” in their name comes in. Well, Rosie’s has a modest selection of video slots and poker. It’s not a seedy place by any means, and their drink menu is good too.

Dunkin’ Donuts

The corporate giant that is Dunkin’ Donuts is nestled between a couple of local Mexican restaurants on the main street of S Halsted. If you want to know exactly what you’re getting and for dirt cheap, then Dunkin’ is for you as it is for everyone. The particular one on Halstead doubles as a Baskin Robbins and their ice cream is always a treat.
