Coffee Shops in Chatham

Chatham is a south suburb of Chicago not too far from Al Capone’s Chicago Manor. Chatham is known for the Four Nineteen historic gas station, Lem’s Bar-B-Q, and its predominantly Black population of residents and businesses. It was also where Chance the Rapper was raised. There aren’t a whole lot of coffee shops, however, but there are still some quick stops to get your fix of morning joe.

Dat Donut

Coffee and donuts go hand-in-hand, and Dat Donut is Chatham’s local stop for this unbeatable combo. While donuts are their main focus, you can get some coffee to go with the signature treats like a cinnamon roll, apple fritter, and the big dat donut. Dat Donut has been in business since 1994, still under the management of the same family. Their menu also has sandwiches and smoothies. This is how you experience Chatham locality.

Pie Guy’s Bakery & Cafe

While coffee isn’t the main focus, Pie Guy’s is another great local coffee and sweets shop in Chatham. Known for their sweet potato pie and pound cake flavors, Pie Guy’s is looking to expand into a fully-fledged menu with comfort food. However, they are only open during the week, but that makes the desserts taste all the sweeter after work.

Dunkin’ Donuts

Of course, there is always the ever-present corporate coffee and donut giant Dunkin’. We’d be lying if we said they have a better selection than Dat Donut, but if you really want to go somewhere where you know what you’re getting, there is always Dunkin’.
